ESTACA consolidates its partnership with Cranfield University in the United Kingdom
Recognized worldwide for the quality of its teaching in aeronautics and automotive engineering, Cranfield University is ranked third in the United Kingdom after Cambridge and Oxford, for its high-technology research.
It welcomes post-graduate students for Masters or PhDs. Specializing in science, engineering, technology and management, Cranfield University is one of the partner universities of ESTACA.
Currently, ESTACA students can spend one study semester there. Internships are also offered in the research laboratories and other Research collaborations are planned.
Rabia Sehab and Thuy-Quynh Truong-Hoang, teacher-researchers at ESTACA travelled to the university to foster ties and extend cooperation to additional projects in the transport sector.
A thesis has been set up with the arrival of Marcin Biczyski, a doctoral student at the ESTACA research laboratory in the On-Board Energies and Systems Division (S2ET). The subject of his thesis is “Improving Multirotor Reliability and Performance Using Switched Reluctance Machines”. For 3 years, Marcin Biczyski will be working on improving the reliability and performance of drones using redundant electrical machine technology.
