New University Partner in India
ESTACA welcomed a delegation from Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, a new academic partner in India. The visit enabled us to finalize arrangements for exchanges with students, staff and researchers.
Recognized excellence in aerospace engineering
Founded in 1986 and located in Coimbatore, India, Karunya University is a leading engineering school. It offers high-quality programs in engineering and technology, with options including aerospace, mechanical engineering, computer science and electronics. Karunya is particularly well known for its excellence in aerospace engineering, offering cutting-edge training and research opportunities in this field.
ESTACA’s partnership with Karunya University
The meeting marked the start of cooperation between ESTACA and Karunya University, with a particular focus on student and staff mobility, as well as research collaboration opportunities.
This new destination will be open to students for exchanges from the 2025-2026 academic year. Karunya also offers a summer program for 1st and 2nd year students, as well as project-based semesters.
During the meeting, the Indian delegation met with ESTACA’s management and international relations office, as well as with teacher-researchers from ESTACA’Lab’s composite structure mechanics and environment department, for a presentation of ESTACA’s research areas, followed by a tour of our laboratories.
