ESTACA Bordeaux: a campus on the rise in an outstanding environment
Initially located in the Arts et Métiers facilities on the Talence university campus, ESTACA Bordeaux is about to take a major new step: in September 2025, the school will move into a brand-new 5,800 m² building in the heart of the Belvédère district, just a 10-minute walk from Bordeaux Saint-Jean train station.
This new campus, modern and eco-designed, is located in a district certified as an “Eco-neighborhood” and offers an ideal study environment combining accessibility, quality of life, and a stimulating atmosphere. In the immediate vicinity of the historic city center, public transportation (including an express bus line), sports facilities, student residences (2,500 rooms planned by 2027), a health center, and dining services, the site has been designed to fully meet students’ needs.
ESTACA Bordeaux means:
-
A total of 350 students by September 2025 (135 new first-year students and 80 new third-year students).
-
A choice of three transport engineering tracks starting in September 2027: aeronautics, space, and automotive engineering.
-
The possibility to join the school in Bordeaux in the 1st or 2nd year, with continuation in the 3rd year at Paris-Saclay or Laval if the chosen specialization is not yet available in Bordeaux.
-
Strong academic and personal support (individual guidance, close relationships with staff).
-
A 1,000 m² student association space, “La Pépinière,” dedicated to the development of student societies.
-
An experimental and digital innovation learning space to train the transport engineers of tomorrow.
-
A dynamic and attractive city, young and student-oriented, at the heart of an industrial region rich in opportunities in the field of new mobility.
“It’s a great experience for me, coming from the Southeast of France. There’s a really good atmosphere with the student associations and strong cohesion between year groups. The courses are both interesting and motivating. And then there’s Bordeaux… a very pleasant student city, with plenty to do, between the riverfront, nights out, exhibitions… You quickly feel at home here!” says Jordan Frésy, 4th-year student in Bordeaux.
“I joined ESTACA in my 3rd year right after my preparatory classes, so I experienced the very first Bordeaux campus when it opened. What I particularly appreciated was the close relationship we have with the administration and the professors. In addition, the campus is perfectly located near Bordeaux city center—it’s close and easy to access. The city has a very strong student culture, with always something to do or discover, whether cultural, sporting, or even for going out and partying! I especially recommend this campus for its quality of life. It’s true that student associations are less developed here than on other campuses, but they are growing fast, which makes it a great opportunity to get involved in their development!”, adds Sasha Taïeb-Leroy, 5th-year student in Bordeaux.
